Skip Schumaker and Nick Punto.

Grit is a baseball skill often described by sports analysts as being possessed by mediocre utility players.  Gritty players play the game in a 'respectful', non-flamboyant way, and put maximum effort into baserunning and routine plays.

It is seen by some as a manifestation of subtle subconcious bias towards white players.  The term is continually mocked by the MSTI community by describing players who are struggling as needing more "grit".
